NCC, NSS and Bharat Scouts and Guides

NCC : The ‘Aims’ of the NCC laid out in 1988 have stood the test of time and continue to meet the requirements expected of it in the current socio–economic scenario of the country. The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.

KKCS has been allotted 2 batches of 30 Girls students of NCC by 6 Punjab Girls Battalion, NCC, Malout. Also NCC is Curriculum subject at Senior Secondary Level at KKCS .

NSS : The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the student youth of 11th & 12th Class of schools at +2 Board level to take part in various government led community service activities & programmes. The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service. KKCS has special wing for NSS as allotted by GOI.

Bharat Scouts and Guides : The Bharat Scouts & Guides is a voluntary, non-political educational Movement for young people, open to all without distinction of origin, race or creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and method conceived by the Founder Lord Baden- Powell in 1907.

for the purpose of the Movement to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of the local, National and International communities. School has got allotted special wing of Bharat Scouts and Guides.
