Competitions make one strive for the best. From the cradle to the final exit, one has to face competitions to prove oneself and learn valuable lessons. Inter-House competitions at KKCS are organized with a view to channelise the leadership potentials of the students to the optimum.
The school conducts various Inter-House competitions as per fixed schedule during the academic year. Each house is awarded points on the basis of its standings in any Inter-House Competitions. At the end of the year , house collecting maximum points is declared as Winner House and presented a rotational trophy named as “TROPHY OF THE YEAR” which shall remain in its possession till next year’s presentation. Besides many minor competitions following major interhouse competitions are held each year :-
TAGORE TROPHY is awarded in the honour Rabindranath Tagore, on his birth anniversary ie May 7 for his excellence in the field of literature who was the first non-European to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature in the year 1913.
C.V. RAMAN TROPHY is awarded on the occasion of National Science Day i.e. 28th February every year in the honour of Sir CV Raman who discovered the phenomenon of scattering of photons which was later known as ‘Raman Effect’ after his name which made him Nobel Prize winner of Science.
MAJOR DHYAN CHAND TROPHY is awarded in the honour of Indian wizard of hockey (Hockey ka Jadugar Major Dhyan Chand on the National Sports day which is celebrated every year on his birth day i.e., on 29th August.
RAMANUJAN TROPHY is awarded on the birthday of great Indian Mathematician Srinivasan Ramanujan on 22nd December every year which is celebrated as NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY also.
