Competitions make one strive for the best. From the cradle to the final exit, one has to face competitions to prove oneself and learn valuable lessons. Inter-House competitions at KKCS are organised with a view to channelising the leadership potentials of the students to the optimum.
The school conducts various Inter-House competitions as per a fixed schedule during the academic year. Each house is awarded points on the basis of its standings in any Inter-House Competitions. At the end of the year, the house collecting the maximum points is declared as the Winner House and presented with a rotational trophy named “TROPHY OF THE YEAR” which shall remain in its possession till next year’s presentation. The Tagore Trophy is awarded in honour of Rabindranath Tagore, on his birth anniversary, i.e., May 7, for his excellence in the field of literature, who was the first non-European to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature in the year 1913.
C.V. RAMAN TROPHY is awarded on the occasion of National Science Day, i.e. 28th February every year, in honour of Sir CV Raman, who discovered the phenomenon of scattering of photons, which was later known as ‘Raman Effect’ after his name, which made him a Nobel Prize winner in Science.
THE MAJOR DHYAN CHAND TROPHY is awarded in honour of the Indian wizard of hockey (Hockey ka Jadugar Major Dhyan Chand on the National Sports Day, which is celebrated every year on his birth day, i.e., on 29th August.
The Ramanujan Trophy is awarded on the birthday of the great Indian Mathematician Srinivasan Ramanujan on 22nd December every year, which is also celebrated as NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY.
